Hotel Sonne

“We had a very pleasant stay at Hotel Sonne. The rooms were spotless, spacious, and tastefully decorated with a warm and cozy style that made us feel comfortable right away. Everything was very clean and well kept, and the breakfast offered a good and varied selection. There are, however, two aspects that kept me from giving a full 5 stars. Although the hotel is not far from the town center, the immediate surroundings feel rather inhospitable. Additionally, when we arrived around 21:00, there was no one at the reception. We had to search for the key box ourselves, which, despite the instructions sent by email, was a bit stressful after a long trip. It felt somewhat impersonal and lacked the typical warm welcome you would expect in such a charming hotel. Overall, it’s a clean, comfortable, and pleasant place to stay, but with a few details that could be improved to make the experience feel more personal and welcoming. On a funny note, we arrived late and, a bit lost, thought we could ask the people sitting outside in their chairs for directions — only to discover, as we got closer, that they were just mannequins!”

“Really nice hotel with big clean rooms. Staff were pleasant & helpful. Breakfast was great but for evening meal it’s only option was a snack wagon outside. Only a ten minute walk into town gave lots of options for eating. But very poor choices is plant based or gluten free”

“We had a nice two stay for two nights. The rooms have a lot of space and the service was friendly. We also used the included sauna area wich was clean and easy to use. The breakfast itself was ok but the coffee was sadly not good. As an additional pro: the minibar was included in the room price.”

“We stayed at this hotel for one night in December. The hotel is extremely clean with friendly staff and fantastic rooms. Room 11 had a very dated bathroom which does need improving although it was spotlessly clean. The breakfast was a little disappointing for 20 euros but not a complete disappointing. The biggest issue is the wi-fi - the speed is unacceptably slow for a hotel where you may be conducting business or letting kids watch on a tablet etc. I would stay here again but if I knew there was a hotel with a more reliable wi-fi connection that would sway me.”
